The Executive Director is the chief executive officer responsible for strategic leadership, operational management, and community engagement. This role oversees planning, membership, finances, marketing, advocacy, and events.
- Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans; inspire board and volunteers.
- Membership: Recruit, retain, and engage members; deliver value-driven programs.
- Advocacy: Represent business interests; monitor legislation; collaborate with local and regional partners.
- Finance: Manage budgeting, reporting, and revenue generation through sponsorships and events.
- Community & Events: Organize major events (Annual Banquet, Shop Petal First, Christmas Parade, etc.); maintain strong community relationships.
- Marketing: Oversee PR, social media, and local economic initiatives; serve as spokesperson.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, public administration, or nonprofit leadership.
- Proven success in strategic planning, leadership, and financial management.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Residency in Forrest County required.
