A Community-Wide Celebration of Teamwork, Competition, and City Pride

The City of Petal, in partnership with the Petal Area Chamber of Commerce, Petal Family YMCA, the Petal School District, and the Petal Education Foundation, is proud to present the first-ever Petal City Olympics 2025. This one-of-a-kind, city-wide event is designed to bring residents together through the spirit of teamwork, healthy competition, and community pride.

Over the course of five weekends, local teams will face off in a variety of sporting events, with single-sport champions and overall winners crowned in true Olympic fashion. Athletes, families, and spectators alike will enjoy the excitement and camaraderie that only a city-wide competition can bring.

But the Petal City Olympics is more than just games—it’s a mission-driven initiative. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit:

• The Petal Family YMCA Scholarship Fund, ensuring safe and enriching childcare opportunities for families during school breaks.

• The Petal Education Foundation, supporting student success through scholarships and expanded educational opportunities.

“The Petal City Olympics is about more than competition,” said event organizers. “It’s about celebrating who we are as a community while investing in the future of our families and students.”
