Pablo Díaz is President & CEO of the Vicksburg Warren

Economic Development Partnership in Vicksburg, MS. As

President of the Partnership, Diaz develops and implements

economic strategies that focus on the attraction of jobs and

investments to the region. Since Diaz took the helm as President & CEO of the Partnership in 2017, the community has led several job creation projects including six new companies to the area and supporting the expansion of many businesses in Vicksburg and Warren County. The projects announced by the Partnership account for 956 new direct jobs for the region and associated investment of over 227 million dollars. Under Diaz’s leadership, the Partnership has also accomplished the Development of the Mississippi Center for Innovation & Technology in Downtown Vicksburg and is currently in the process of developing a new port South of Interstate I-20. Diaz served as the 2022 Board President of the Mississippi Economic Development Council, a statewide organization representing all economic development entities across Mississippi. He was appointed by Lt. Governor Delbert Hoseman in 2020 and 2023 to serve on the Executive Committee of the newly created State Office of Workforce Development, Accelerate Mississippi, and in 2021, he was appointed by Governor Tate Reeves to serve on the board of the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services.Diaz was recognized by the International Economic Development

Council as the “Young Economic Development Professional of the Year" in 2012, and was awarded the “Marsha Hamilton Spirit Award” in 2020, for extraordinary service to the State of

Mississippi in Economic Development by The Mississippi

Development Authority and the Mississippi Economic

Development Council.  Diaz holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Yucatan, and a Masters degree in Economic Development from the University of Southern Mississippi.He is a graduate of the Economic Development Institute by the University of Oklahoma, and a Certified Economic Developer by the International Economic Development Council. Diaz has bee married to Amber for 17 years and they have three children: Maya (14), Ella (12), and Luca (8). They are members of Saint Paul Catholic Church in Downtown Vicksburg.
