Join us for the Petal Area Chamber of Commerce September Membership Luncheon on Wednesday, September 9, from 12:00–1:00 PM at the Petal Civic Center, featuring keynote speaker Dr. Alan Barefield.

Dr. Barefield is an Extension Professor Emeritus of Agricultural Economics with the Mississippi State University Extension Service, where his work has focused on strengthening communities and supporting economic development throughout Mississippi.

Throughout his career, Dr. Barefield has worked extensively in areas including business planning, economic and community development, economic impact analysis, regional economic trends, public utility management, and healthcare economics. His experience provides a unique perspective on the factors that influence the strength, sustainability, and future growth of our local communities and businesses.

We look forward to welcoming our Chamber members and community partners for an informative afternoon of connection, conversation, and insight as we hear from Dr. Barefield and learn from his decades of experience serving communities across Mississippi.
